Sicily is Big!
Sicily is an island and, somehow, as soon as we hear island, we think about a rock in the sea with a few villages spread here and there. Well, not the case here! Sicily is the biggest island in the Mediterranean, it has an area of 25.711 km², a population of 5 million people with 390 towns, or to cut my wikipedia short: SICILY IS BIG!
Touring the whole island in two-three days is impossible, so keep it in mind, you either focus on a specific area or you simply make more time for it.
There are obviously different criteria you can use to choose which area to visit if your time is limited, you can focus on a specific geographical area (the West, Mount Etna or the South-East, etc), a city and its surroundings (Palermo, Catania, Ragusa, Siracusa, Trapani, etc) or pick a theme (archeology, nature, food, etc)... every option works as long as you include a cooking class with me in Modica ;-) !
