When I took a cooking class!

Last week, we went to the BIT in Milan, an international fair dedicated to tourism, little I knew that I was going to end up taking a cooking lesson myself.
I was invited to the Puglia dedicated area for an "orecchiette pasta lesson".
As you can probably notice from the smile on my face, I had so much fun! Zia Nunzia, the lady who was teaching the class kept telling me "perfetto!" and believe me it was such a relief!
I had done orecchiette before, but the approval of real cooks from Puglia was really great. I also learnt some useful tips, especially regarding the kind of flour mixture I should use: not just semolina flour but a percentage of wholemeal flour too.
I also met some great people, most of them where food journalists, and finally had first hand experience from a student perspective of how fun a cooking class can be.

Tasting the final dish, as usual, was the best moment with a great glass of golden Fiano pugliese.

Thanks Puglia and thank you Zia Nunzia.
